Sandra Baas is the jewellery designer for Baas-Galgo. She is Dutch and has been living in Spain for more than 20 years. For a long time she has been fighting for the protection of the Spanish greyhounds.

She has been dedicating all her efforts to the rescue from torture of any greyhound that has crossed her way, in order to give them a better, more dignified and happier life.
It is thanks to her work that these ill-treated greyhounds, often regarded as object, can now enjoy life as a domestic animal, 

  “a couch greyhound."

Now she feels the moment has come to extend the initiative, take a deeper look and tackle the problem at its roots. One of the reasons for the bad attitude towards these dogs is without any doubt the negative image many people in our country and in many others have of the greyhounds.

In reality the greyhound is not only tenderness and devotion but also distinction and elegancy. This is reflected in the pieces of jewellery Sandra Baas creates honouring the animals.
